Lost Media thread for context ( to full): My Recollection of the game, before it was relocated: This was a physics game with many different modes. The most recognizable one is what came up on it's home page, four columns of falling particles with a vague resemblance to sand on the screen, generating automatically and deleting once hitting the bottom of the screen.
A similar game to this one is powder game, which came out later. I do not know if the creators are in any way connected. Another game mode is one in which a giant ball rolls around when hit with material. It grows when hit with water, and shrinks when hit with salt, similar to a sponge. It will eat any particles that hit it.

There are a few more modes that I vaguely remember. Some notable items in the game include physics controlled ragdoll-zombies, that when dipping their heads to the ground eat whatever comes in contact with the head. Other notable items include the anchored dirt, which could be spawned with a slider on the bottom or right of the screen, and the namesake of the game, sand, which is physics controlled and can topple. The website was notable for having only a black background and links to the other games. I believe this game is lost.
This version of the game is not the right one, though the physics controlled particles look identical to the original. The downloadable game is also not the right one, that one is recognizable for being much more robust, having hundreds of elements (or at least 50) similar to Powder Game. This is a screenshot from one of the originals.Archive OrgArchive.org Screenshot from the original game. The spiky object in the bottom righthand corner is the aforementioned eating-ball. This wikipedia article appears to contain the true name of the game 'Dust'.
Sadly, it appears that some book-burner deleted the whole article back around 2008, losing most of the older information. This is also not the correct game. An article about Hell of Sand, one of the game versions. Contains no link to game. Possibly found one mode of the game.
Edit: Not sure if original. Seems to be incredibly simplified, but the menu seems to be the same. This is not one of the versions, but is connected to a dead forum that I remember being listed on the original site. Archive.org does not have the forum saved.
Archive.org containing a falling sand game on pointless sites. Edit: Wrong one, this is the original falling sand toy, from DOFIBLOG. Edit: Replacement Screenshot.
#This simulation requires Flash Player 9 to work! #Without it, you will only see a black screen. It is based on the original Hell of Sand Falling Game, although the particle behavior is not exactly the same, mainly because of performance issues. Even with the ActionScript 3.0/AVM2 performance increases, it is not nearly as fast as the original Java version.
Avast antivirus kostenlos download. Note: The cheats and tricks listed above may not necessarily work with your copy of the game. Unzip the contents of the archive, run the trainer, and then the game.

I found that using a bitmap to display the simulation would be the fastest way to do it. I'll optimize it some more, and add some more elements and other stuff if people are interested. Let me know if you have any suggestions.
